Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI)

Employers' Council, FNCCI in collaboration with Morang Chambers of Industry, Biratnagar and Pokhara Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Pokhara organized one day interaction program on " Social Security" in Biratnagar and Pokhara respectively on July 27 and August 22, 2012. The programs were attended by important office bearers of the chambers, employers and HR managers from various enterprises. Mr. Roman Awick, Labour Law and Industrial Relations Expert and Mr. Yagyaman Shakya, Deputy Director made presentations on social security concept, related SS issues and Draft Social Security Fund Act. In the interactions programs, many issues were raised including the viability of the Social Security Fund. The need for the enactment of both the draft Labour Act and Social Security Fund Act simultaneously was stressed by the participants.
